Moo Ping Game (Simulation + Time Management)

Core Idea: The player takes the role of a street vendor selling grilled pork skewers (“Moo Ping”) and sticky rice, managing time, cooking, and customers.

Gameplay:

  • Cooking System: Skewers have 3 states:

    • Raw = –5 points
    • Perfectly Cooked = +10 points
    • Burnt = –20 points
  • Serving Sticky Rice: Serving sticky rice alongside Moo Ping earns +5 points.
  • Obstacles:

    • Stray dogs may steal skewers.
    • Customers lose hearts when waiting too long → –30 points.
  • Win Condition: Survive and serve customers successfully for 5 in-game days.
  • Lose Condition: Score drops below –50 → Game Over.

Platform: PC 

Highlights: Demonstrates simulation mechanics, time management challenges, scoring system, and obstacle handling.

Purpose of the Game: This game was created to study and practice simulation and time management game design. It explores cooking mechanics, customer satisfaction systems, and balancing positive/negative events to maintain player engagement. It also serves as an exercise in designing win/lose conditions and creating a progression system over multiple in-game days.
